2001 - 2006 : Europe Purchase-to-Pay Common Process Advisor

Select and implement the Best Practices, including systems replacement (SAP R/3, datawarehouse, iXos invoice imaging, Ariba e-Sourcing, …) and organisational change management.
Worldwide coordinator for the "Accounts Payable datawarehouse" collating all ExxonMobil ERPs.
Responsible for the infrastructure (equipments, systems) in the relocation of the European Accounts Payable (30 centers centralized in Prague – 220 personnes – 1 million invoices/year – 60 G€/year).

1997-2001 : Purchase-to-Pay Process Section Head

Consolidation of all French activities. Responsible for Accounts Payable operations
Coordination and implementation of the Euro migration and the Exxon / Mobil merger.
Implementation of SAP R/3 (MM and FI) and "invoice imaging" (iXos).

1995-1997 : Worldwide Reegineering of the Purchase-to-Pay process for Exxon Corporation

Mission in the USA for the reengineering of the Procurement process. Identification and selection of the Best Practices. Writing of the "Sourcing Handbook", which became and still is the vademecum of any buyer in the Corporation.
Then implementation of the new processus in France and in Malaysia, and support to the deployment in Europe.

1994 – 1995 : Information Technology Buyer

Responsible for IT procurement (equipment, software, services, telecoms, and process control) in France (TO = 50 M€/an). Member of the Exxon International Procurement organization.



Exxon Chemical France

1992 - 1994 : Facility and IT Center Manager

In charge of the Facility Management for the Headquarter building (maintenance, subcontracting, real estate, security, safety, furnitures, catering, travels, ...). Annual budget = 6 M€ - Investment = 0.2 M€ - People management : 10 employees and 10 permanent contractors

1989 - 1992 : Change Management in the Controller Department

Reporting to the Controller, in charge of the computer system replacement (Accounts Payable, General Ledger), then of the optimization of the business analysis.

1986 - 1988 : Technical Section Head for the Butyl Rubber chemical unit

Leading a team of 14 engineers, in charge of the technical support to Production, of the technology development (budget 1987 = 10 €) and of the process control computer project (15 M€).

1977 - 1986 : several technical positions in a petrochemical complex

CONNECTED ACTIVITIES

  • Teacher at ESSEC, on Purchase-to-Pay process, to Master Degree in International Procurement Management. This course is the core element for these postgraduate studies. Also president of selection juries, and thesis director.
  • Active member the CDAF (Compagnie des Dirigeants et Acheteurs de France) since 1995 (leading several study groups on innovation and Intranet in the Procurement area).
  • Lecturer on Purchase-to-Pay process at the GRETA (International Procurement).

Conception and leadership of a benevolent project on Internet, proposing a computer assistance to read and translate hieroglyphs. The project’s purpose is now recognized by the nternational professional community.
